THE ROAD TO CROATIA

Take your motorcycle out to the Plitvice lakes, a major tourist attraction, with a million visitors each year. You will never regret it. To the north, go visit Slovenia, to the south, Bosnia and Herzegovina, to the west is the Adriatic coast and eastwards for Serbia and Montenegro. Ride to the Dalmatian coast and the many islands in the Adriatic Sea, one of the most visited places in Croatia.

Take a ride along the Adriatic coast, and get some fresh air into your lungs. The quaint hotels on the coast are perfect as a base, when Croatia is being explored in all directions.

The northeastern part of the country is flat and fertile, while the areas in northwest and west consist mainly of the Dinaric Alps. Croatia has a mixed climate; in the north and east is a more continental, coastal Mediterranean climate, which we motorcyclists like so much. The highest mountain is Dinara, which lies 1,830 meters above sea level.

PLITVICE LAKES NATIONAL PARK

When you visit this park, with its 16 interconnected lakes and azure waters, it is like being transported into a fairy tale, especially around the waterfall, Veliki Slap. The area is home to deer, wolves, bears, and wild cats, so be very careful where you pitch your tent.
