Fuorn Pass or Ofen Pass (2,149 m) connects Zernez in the Engadin valley with Val Müstair, crossing the Swiss National Park in Switzerland, in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. The name is based on the ovens that were used in ironworks in the area. The ruins of these ovens can still be seen from nearby trails. In 1995, a brown bear was seen and photographed in the area, making that the first sighting of a wild bear in Switzerland since 1923, so next time you stop for a leak, make sure you have a good look around first. And don't forget, bears can climb trees, so leave the engine running...
