A ride from Clifden in Galway, to Kilkee in Clare, brings you past the spectacular Cliffs of Moher, rising 120 meters straight up out of the Atlantic Ocean at Hag's Head, reaching their maximum height of 214 meters just north of O'Brien's Tower, eight kilometres away. The views from the cliffs attract close to one million visitors per year, and on a clear day, the Aran Islands are visible in Galway Bay, as are the valleys and hills of Connemara. The Cliffs of Moher are located in the parish of Liscannor at the south-western edge of the Burren area near Doolin, County Clare. On windy days, you can experience the wind blowing the seawater 214 meters up out of the Atlantic, and right into your face.
